How to Shave
The tedious thing that is carried out by the men in their daily life is considered as a Shaving. To appear well prepared as well as look younger Shaving is a must. For some it is not as said earlier, a tiring activity.
There are a few methods that a man can follow to shave. These are instructions for a wet shave which give the material required to shave and how to use these tools effectively.
Tools Required for a Wet Shave
Razor Blades and Razors are available of different brands and in different styles. There are disposable razor blades available in the market. These razor blades are rarely used. They should be avoided as they are harmful for the skin. A double bladed or triple bladed pivotal head razor is commonly used. This razor helps in getting rid of bumps, odd perspectives and thin places. Among this type of blades, Gillette is the most commonly used. The shave that Gillette gives is much cleaner than any other razor.
To aid the razor to slide on the skin, shaving cream, gels and soaps are used. These products contain alcohol. Use of these products can make the skin dry. use of good quality shaving cream on their skin Is important for a good shaving experience and for smooth skin after a shave.
There are many other tools used in shaving like a shaving mug, brush, a shaving loofah, an exfoliating scrub, alum block and an Aloe Vera spray or gel.
Different important steps go into the process of Shaving.
The skin can be harmed with use of dirty and dull razors. The equipments must be kept warm, clean and wet. Exfoliating the skin with a face scrub or a loofah at least two times is important. This keeps the skin smooth and shaving becomes easier. For a dry face aerosol creams must be used.
The skin must be made wet. Taking a shower is advisable. After washing the face, pat it dry with a towel soaked in hot water. This makes the skin flexible enough for the movement of the blade. The shaving cream must be applied on the face with the fingertips. The shaving cream should be applied on the entire are with a brush in a circular motion. This helps in spreading the cream all over the face evenly. This helps to get a good shave. The shave must do with the grain in 2-3 weeks. The direction of the shave is very important to get a good shave. After one stroke the razor must be dipped in warm water to remove the cream and used for the next stroke. The shaving direction must be from the sides of the cheek towards the moustache. After a shave the face must be washed with clean water. After a shave it is important to apply an after shave lotion, a gel or a moisturizer. This is done to keep the skin smooth after the shave.
